Long before Refined By Fire became a roastery, coffee had already become part of my life in quieter ways.
I first fell in love with it while living in Italy, where coffee wasn’t rushed or treated like background noise — it was ritual, conversation, pause. Years later, I had the opportunity to grow and harvest coffee in Hawai‘i, where I learned firsthand how much care, patience, weather, and time shape every cup.
Since then, life has carried me through different landscapes, seasons, and versions of myself. Through all of it, coffee remained a constant — something shared across tables, long drives, early mornings, difficult seasons, and ordinary days that deserved a little more attention.
Refined By Fire was built from that love: for good coffee, for meaningful atmosphere, for gathering people together, and for finding beauty in the everyday.
My faith is still deeply woven into the heart of this roastery, but so is the belief that everyone deserves a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and feel welcome.
